When couples ask me about wedding venues in Elko NV, I don’t give a sales pitch—I give real answers. I’ve photographed weddings at most of these locations, so everything here comes from experience.
Here’s what I want you to know before choosing a venue:
- I’m not listing pricing because it changes constantly. What matters more is how a venue actually functions on a wedding day.
- Light, space, and timing will impact your photos more than décor or details ever will.
- Every venue photographs differently depending on tree coverage, open sky, and indoor lighting.
- Midday ceremonies are the hardest—they create harsh shadows and grass that often photographs neon instead of a natural green.
- I typically recommend scheduling your ceremony two to three hours before sunset for the most flattering light.
Everything below is based on real weddings at these wedding venues in Elko NV—including what works, what doesn’t, and what you’ll want to plan for ahead of time.
Outdoor Wedding Venues in Elko NV (Lamoille & Surrounding Areas)
7th Canyon Ranch – Large Outdoor Wedding Venue in Elko NV
This is the largest venue in Elko County and comfortably holds around 400 people. It offers a large grassy outdoor area along with an indoor barn, which gives couples flexibility if the weather becomes a concern. The owners are wonderful to work with, and they provide tables and chairs, which helps cut down on rental costs. There’s also an air-conditioned bridal suite, a separate groom’s dressing room, and décor pieces like arbors and wine barrels already available. Couples can also add a horse-drawn carriage or pony drink carts for an additional fee.
The venue has an 11:00 p.m. curfew. Setup can begin the day before at 1:00 p.m., with cleanup the following day. There are cottage rentals available, along with options for RVs or campers for an additional fee. A Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage is required.
One important thing to plan for is the barn lighting. It creates a strong orange tint in photos, which I correct using professional lighting. Timing also matters here. Earlier ceremonies create harsh, uneven light, and in those situations, I often deliver more black-and-white images. I always help couples build a timeline that works specifically for this venue.

The Old Schoolhouse – Small Wedding Venue in Lamoille, Elko NV
Located in downtown Lamoille near the old church, this venue fits about 75 people and has a charming, antique feel. The connected kitchen makes it a good option if you’re planning to serve your own food.
The biggest limitation is space. Once everything is set up, it can feel tight. The flooring also creates an orange color cast, although I use lighting to help reduce it. The stage can be tricky as well—it limits dancing space and has brown carpet that doesn’t photograph particularly well.

Lamoille Grove – Outdoor Wedding Venue in Elko NV for DIY Weddings
This picnic area in downtown Lamoille offers a large grassy space that can accommodate both the ceremony and reception.
This is one of the wedding venues in Elko NV where planning really matters. In recent years, many trees have been cut down or are dying, which means less natural coverage. Renting a large tent is extremely important. I’ve photographed multiple weddings here where couples skipped this, and weather caused major issues—rain soaking food, slippery dance floors, and even electrical problems with music equipment. Summer storms and lightning are very real possibilities here, so having a backup plan is essential.
Ruby 360 Lodge – Luxury Wedding Venue in Elko NV with Mountain Views
Ruby 360 is one of the nicest and most luxurious venues in the area. It can accommodate around 250 guests outdoors and about 50 indoors. The mountain views are stunning, the food is great, and the bar serves cocktails. On-site rooms are a huge benefit, especially for the bridal party.
Couples can set up the day before and clean up the following day. The venue provides two dressing rooms, and the couple can stay in a king room on the wedding night. Guests can also book overnight rentals, including options with a hot tub. Catering and bartending are provided in-house for an additional fee.
There is an 11:00 p.m. curfew, the property is non-smoking, and a Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage is required. The biggest drawback is cost, since in-house catering is required and priced per plate, and vendors must carry their own insurance.
Because of the elevation, fog can occasionally roll in. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it creates some of the most unique and beautiful photo conditions of any of the wedding venues in Elko NV.

Wedding Venues in Elko NV (In-Town Locations)
Marvel & Marvel
(As of January 2026, this location may be for sale—availability is uncertain.)
This space is actually a law office that rents out its backyard. It fits around 75 people and includes a small grassy area, a deck for dancing, and plenty of parking.
Setup begins the day before at 3:00 p.m., with cleanup the following day. Portable restrooms and garbage service are not provided, and couples need to rent tables, chairs, and anything else required. A Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage is also required.
Space is the biggest limitation here. Once vendors are added, it becomes tight quickly. Lighting is another factor—afternoon ceremonies create harsh, uneven light, which often results in more black-and-white images. I help couples plan timing carefully for this location.
The Basque House – A Wedding Venue In Elko NV
Located near Elko High School, this venue works best as an outdoor option. The ceremony space is decent, and the paved area allows for a large dance floor that can hold hundreds of people.
The indoor building is not very visually appealing and has poor lighting, so I don’t recommend using it. Renting a tent is also a smart choice for weather protection.

Exhibit Hall Fairgrounds – A Wedding Venue In Elko NV
This large indoor venue can hold around 250 people and works well for receptions and dancing.
Setup is available the day before for an additional fee or the day of the event, with cleanup required by noon the following day. Smoking is not allowed indoors, and garbage service is available for an added fee. A Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage is required.
Lighting is the biggest issue here. It creates strong orange tones if not handled correctly. I bring professional lighting to correct this, but the space itself is not ideal for ceremonies or portraits. Most couples will need to plan for photos at a separate location like GBC, and timing becomes very important to avoid color casting.
Elko Convention Center
This venue can hold around 250 people and allows you to host both the ceremony and reception in one place. The lighting in the main entry area is good.
The main room lighting, however, is poor and can create orange skin tones without the right setup. While I can correct those tones, the space itself is very basic and not particularly visually appealing.
The Lostra Warehouse
Located in Elko, this venue fits around 100 people and has a cute interior with a built-in bar, making it a good option for receptions.
There is an all-day rental fee due the day before the event, along with a reservation and cleaning deposit that may be refunded after inspection. Tables and chairs are available for an additional fee, but linens and setup are not included. Event insurance is required and can be purchased through LP Insurance.
Parking is limited since there is no dedicated lot. The space can also feel tight if you plan to host both the ceremony and reception with dancing. Later in the evening, the wood floors create an orange color cast, which requires experience and proper lighting to manage.

The Dalling Hall
Located next to Coffee Mug, this venue fits around 150 people comfortably and works well as a reception space. It’s simple, clean, and visually appealing.
This is one of the few wedding venues in Elko NV where I don’t have a major drawback to note.
Spring Creek Venues
Spring Creek Golf Course – Carry On With Style
This outdoor patio venue sits on the Spring Creek Golf Course and accommodates around 100 people. Trees surround the space, and a semi-covered patio provides shade, while the paved area works well for dancing. Inside, couples can use a bridal suite, and the owner genuinely cares about the experience.
The bridal suite has limited flattering light and can get very hot since it doesn’t have AC, even though the rest of the building does. Ceremony timing is especially important here. If scheduled too early, the light becomes harsh and uneven, often resulting in more black-and-white images. I guide couples toward the best timing for this space.
Ranch Wedding Venues in Elko NV & Backyard Options
Maggie Creek Ranch – Near Carlin
This venue can hold around 275 people and offers a large outdoor space for both the ceremony and reception. There are two on-site buildings for getting ready.
Timing matters here. Earlier ceremonies create harsh light and strong contrast, while later in the day works much better. The suites are functional but not visually appealing. Couples will also need to rent tables, chairs, a dance floor, and a tent for weather backup.
Sixteen Wedding Venue
This venue serves Elko County. I’m booked here in 2026 and will update after I’ve photographed a wedding at this location.
Your Backyard
This is honestly one of my favorite options when people ask about wedding venues in Elko NV.
Backyard weddings feel personal in a way traditional venues sometimes don’t, and some of my favorite photos have come from these celebrations. You’ll want a good grassy area, some tree coverage, and rentals like a tent, tables, and chairs. When it’s planned well, it feels relaxed, meaningful, and completely your own.

Bridal Suite
Sand & Sagebrush
This space deserves its own mention. The getting-ready room has beautiful natural light and a calm, intentional design. It’s easily my favorite bridal suite to photograph.
