Creative West events always bring together the best kind of energy, with people from different walks of life. From the moment I arrived, the space felt alive with creativity, conversation, and purpose. I knew right away this would be one of those days where everything flows naturally, which always makes my job even more enjoyable.
An Artistic Event with Creative West
Working with Creative West on this event was such a great experience. I started the day photographing artists as they painted the outside of Kory’s Market, where a mural was coming to life. Watching the artwork take shape while capturing it felt special. After that, we moved to the Lostra Warehouse, and the vibe shifted in the best way. The space was filled with people and lots of laughter. It was exciting to see how many creatives showed up to support one another.
Community, Conversation, and Celebration
As the evening continued, the event turned into a true celebration. Star Catered and Lostra served food
and alcohol, which kept everyone mingling around and relaxed at the tables. While moving through the crowd, I photographed conversations, hugs, and small moments that told the bigger story. Members of Creative West gave speeches, and each one felt genuine and heartfelt. Even the local governor attended, which added to how meaningful the night felt for everyone involved.
Why Events Like This Matter
Events like this remind me why I love photographing community-driven gatherings. There’s something powerful about capturing people who care deeply about art and connection. Throughout the night, the energy stayed high, and the conversations kept flowing. I left feeling inspired and grateful to be part of it. Working alongside Creative West was an honor, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
