Portland Rose Garden sessions always feel special to me, and this one with Cathy was super amazing. I flew in from Nevada for both a wedding and this session, and it’s one of the best things about being a photographer, traveling all over the country and world. Right away, meeting her in person was amazing. We met up, caught up, and eased into photographing, and she was a natural.
A Session at the Portland Rose Garden
The Portland Rose Garden offers a lot of space, so finding good light really matters. Because of that, I walked the area first and picked the spot that had clean light. I love that Cathy trusted me, which made the process fun. We talked, laughed, and talked through the session. Instead of rushing, we let things unfold, and that always leads to better photos.
Traveling for Clients I Truly Connect With
Flying out for sessions like this is something I truly enjoy. Working in places like the Portland Rose
Garden gives me variety, but more importantly, it gives me time with people I genuinely connect with. During our session, conversation was easy, and that showed in the photos. Afterward, we went out for dinner and drinks, which was a lot of fun, I seriously enjoyed my time with her.
More Than Just Photos
What I love the most is that my clients often become my friends. From photographing to going out for drinks and dinner, the whole day felt amazing and real. That’s always my goal. I want my clients to feel comfortable, supported, and excited about the experience. Days like this are exactly why I’ll keep coming back to places like the Portland Rose Garden, camera in hand, ready to create and connect all over again at the Portland Rose Garden.
