The Old Schoolhouse – Lamoille
This venue sits in downtown Lamoille near the old Lamoille church and comfortably fits about 75 people. It has a charming antique feel, and the connected kitchen works well if you plan to serve your own food.
The biggest drawback is space. The layout feels tight, and the flooring creates an orange color cast, although my lighting equipment helps reduce it. The stage also presents a challenge. While it works for some events, it limits dancing space for weddings and features brown carpet that doesn’t photograph well.

Lamoille Grove
This picnic area in downtown Lamoille offers a large grassy space that accommodates both ceremony and reception.
That said, this venue requires serious planning. Recent years brought heavy tree cutting, and most remaining trees are dying and need replanting. You also need to rent a large tent. I have photographed many weddings here where couples ignored this advice and got hit with rain. Rain soaked the food, made dance floors slippery, and once short-circuited and sparked the music equipment. Summer storms and lightning do happen here, so please plan accordingly.
Ruby 360 Lodge – Upper Lamoille
Ruby 360 is one of the nicest and most luxurious venues in the area. It accommodates about 250 guests outdoors and 50 indoors. The mountain views feel stunning, the food tastes great, and the bar serves cocktails. Onsite rooms add a huge benefit, especially for the bridal party.
For Ruby 360 Lodge, note the 11:00 p.m. curfew. Couples can set up the day before the wedding and clean up the following day. The couple can stay in a king room on the wedding night, and the venue provides two dressing rooms for the bridal party. Guests can book overnight rentals with a hot tub for an additional cost. The venue provides bartending and catering for an added fee. The property remains non-smoking at all times. Couples must provide a Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage.
The biggest drawback is cost. Couples must use the in-house catering, which charges per plate and adds up quickly. Vendors also need separate insurance, which can increase overall expenses. Because of the elevation, fog sometimes rolls in. While it doesn’t happen often, it can create stunning photos when it does.

Elko Venues in Town
Marvel & Marvel – Downtown Elko (I saw a sign up for sale as of January-2026. I am not sure if this location is available at the moment.)
This “Elko wedding venue” is actually a law agency that rents out its backyard. It comfortably fits about 75 people and has a small deck set up for dancing, a small grassy area, and plenty of parking.
For Marvel & Marvel, it’s important to be aware that setup is allowed the day before the event starting at 3:00 p.m., with cleanup scheduled for the day after. Portable restrooms and garbage pickup are not provided. A Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage is required.
The downside is space. It’s very limited, which makes it difficult to fit vendors like food or bar services. Ceremony timing is also important here. Afternoon light is harsh and uneven, which can result in half of the ceremony photos being black and white. However, I can help you plan your timeline and give you specific timing for your ceremony at this venue to help with that. You will also need to rent tables, chairs, and anything else you need.
The Basque House
Located near Elko High School, the Basque House can be rented for weddings. The outdoor ceremony space is decent and works well if you’re looking for something more affordable. The paved outdoor area allows for a large dance floor and can hold hundreds of people.
For an Elko Wedding venue, the indoor building, however, is not very pretty and has poor lighting. I wouldn’t recommend using it. Renting a tent is also smart if you want protection from rain.

Exhibit Hall Fairgrounds
This is a large indoor venue that can comfortably fit about 250 people. It works well for receptions and dancing.
For the Fairgrounds, it’s important to note that setup is available either the day before the event for an additional fee or the day of the event. Cleanup must be completed by 12:00 p.m. the following day. Smoking is not permitted indoors. Garbage pickup is available for an additional fee. A Certificate of Insurance with $1,000,000 in coverage is required.
For an Elko wedding venue, the lighting is poor and creates orange-tinted photos if you don’t hire the correct photographer. Thankfully, I bring professional lighting equipment to help avoid this. This space is not ideal for ceremonies or photos. For portraits, we would need to go to GBC nearby, and timing is very important to avoid green or blue color casting.
Elko Convention Center
The Convention Center venue can hold about 250 people and allows you to host both ceremony and reception in one place. Lighting in the main entry area is good.
The main room lighting is very poor and can cause orange skin tones if you don’t have the right photographer. While I can correct the orange skin tones, the room itself is very basic and not visually pretty.

The Lostra Warehouse
Located in Elko, this venue fits around 100 people comfortably. It has a cute interior and a built-in bar, which makes it great for receptions.
For The Lostra Warehouse, it’s important to note that an all-day rental fee of $1,000 is due the day prior to the event. A date reservation and cleaning deposit of an additional $500 is due at the time of booking and may be refunded after the final cleaning walkthrough.Tables and chairs can be included for an additional fee of $250; however, linens and setup are not included. All renters are responsible for obtaining special event insurance prior to the event date. This insurance can be purchased through LP Insurance.
For this Elko wedding venue, the parking is difficult since it doesn’t have its own lot. While you can have a ceremony here, having both ceremony and reception with dancing in this tight space can feel uncomfortable. The wood floors later in the evening also create an orange color cast, so experience matters here. I do, however, provide lighting equipment that will help with the orange skin tones.

The Dalling Hall – Downtown Elko
Located next to Coffee Mug, this venue fits about 150 people comfortably. It’s very cute inside and works well as a reception space.
For this Elko wedding venue, I do not have a con for this space.
Spring Creek Golf Course – Carry On With Style
This outdoor patio venue sits outside Carry On With Style on the Spring Creek Golf Course and comfortably accommodates about 100 people. Trees surround the space, and a semi-covered patio provides shade, while the paved area works well for dancing. Inside the salon, couples can use a bridal suite, and the owner truly cares about the experience.
The bridal suite offers limited flattering light and can get very hot because this area does not have AC, even though the rest of the building stays comfortable. Ceremony timing matters a lot here. If couples schedule the ceremony too early, harsh and uneven sunlight hits the space and often pushes me to deliver many black-and-white ceremony images. I help couples avoid this by guiding them toward the ideal ceremony time for this location.

Ranches, Hidden Gems & Backyard Weddings
Maggie Creek Ranch – Near Carlin
This venue can hold about 275 people comfortably and offers a spacious outdoor area for both ceremony and reception. There are two onsite buildings for the bridal suite and groom’s suite.
Ceremony timing matters here. Too early in the day creates harsh sun and heavy contrast, while later in the day works much better. The suites are functional but not visually pretty. You will also need to rent tables, chairs, a dance floor, and a tent in case of rain.

Sixteen Wedding Venue
This ranch serves Elko County, but I am booked for a wedding at this venue in 2026 and will update once I have firsthand experience.
Your Backyard
This is honestly one of my favorite Elko venues. It feels free, personal, and meaningful. Some of my favorite wedding photos have come from backyard celebrations.
That said, you need a good grassy area and enough tree coverage nearby. You’ll likely rent a tent, tables, and chairs, but when you plan it well, backyard weddings feel incredibly special.

I’ve worked at most of these locations, so I know the light, the flow, and what to watch out for. If you have questions, need help choosing between Elko venues, or want guidance on timing, I’m always happy to help.
Bridal Suite
Sand & Sagebrush
This place deserves special mention. Their bridal getting-ready room has beautiful natural light and a calm, intentional design. It’s the perfect space—and my personal favorite bridal suite to photograph.
