Elko Golf Course was the perfect place to kick off the wedding day with the groom and his groomsmen. Right from the start, the mood felt relaxed and fun. Instead of rushing through photos, we had time to enjoy the morning, laugh a lot, and ease into the day together. Because of that, the guys stayed comfortable, which always makes photos feel more natural.
A Relaxed Start to the Day
First, we walked the course and picked a few easy spots that worked well for photos. Nothing fancy, nothing forced. Instead, we focused on keeping things moving while letting the guys be themselves. They joked with each other, teased the groom, and leaned into the moment. As a result, the energy stayed light the entire time.
Meanwhile, food played a big role in the morning. We paused to eat, talked between bites, and let the time stretch a little. That break mattered. It gave everyone space to relax and reset before the rest of the day picked up. Because we weren’t rushed, the photos didn’t feel like a task. They felt like part of the experience.
Hanging Out at Elko Golf Course
Spending time at Elko Golf Course made the morning feel easy and familiar. Instead of standing stiffly in one spot, the guys moved around naturally. They leaned on carts, stood shoulder to shoulder, and laughed through most of the session. That movement helped keep the photos honest and full of personality.
At the same time, I guided them just enough to keep things flowing. We didn’t overthink poses or moments. Instead, we focused on interaction. Because of that, the images reflect real connection rather than forced smiles. Every group has its own dynamic, and this one thrived on humor and camaraderie.
Also, having extra time allowed us to slow things down when needed. If someone needed a minute or wanted another bite to eat, we took it. That flexibility always shows in the final gallery.
Why These Moments Matter
Groomsmen photos often get overlooked, but they set the tone for the day. Starting in a relaxed environment helps everyone feel grounded before the ceremony. In this case, the combination of good company, food, and time together made all the difference.
As we wrapped up, the guys felt ready instead of rushed. They laughed, checked the time, and headed out knowing they had already enjoyed part of the day together. Ending the morning at Elko Golf Course gave them a strong start and made the rest of the wedding day feel even more meaningful.
